GEO Nova Scotia Seeks CEO to Lead Digital Inclusion Efforts

Since 2022, GEO Nova Scotia has been working to ensure that every resident of our province has the digital tools and skills they need to thrive. As we grow, we are excited to announce that we are hiring our first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead GEO Nova Scotia into the future.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Board and our founder and current Executive Director, Matt Spurway (soon to be Chief Development Officer) to advance GEO Nova Scotia’s mission and help us grow.

Our mission is simple: to bridge the digital divide and help individuals and families—especially those facing barriers—gain access to technology, internet, and digital literacy. By providing these essential tools, we empower people to connect with opportunities, services, and resources that improve their lives.

As we move from a startup to a sustainable non-profit, we need a strong and dedicated leader to guide our next steps. The CEO will lead our work, alongside our CDO, to strengthen partnerships, secure funding, and ensure digital inclusion remains a priority in Nova Scotia.

About the CEO Role

The CEO will:

  • Lead GEO Nova Scotia’s growth and shape its future.
  • Build strong relationships with government, community organizations, and funders.
  • Support and guide our team to ensure we effectively serve our mission.
  • Ensure financial sustainability through funding and partnerships.
  • Create an inclusive, collaborative culture that reflects our values.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced leader with a background in organizational growth, team leadership, and community impact. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and relationship-builder who is dedicated to digital inclusion and social equity.
