Presented by GEO Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia Digital Inclusion Awards celebrate organizations and individuals across sectors who are championing efforts to ensure that every Nova Scotian has access to the digital world.

These awards recognize the critical work being done to close the digital divide in the Nova Scotia, highlighting leadership, innovation, and dedication in making digital inclusion a reality for all.

Business Champion of the Year

This award honours a Nova Scotia business that has gone above and beyond to help ensure everyone in Nova Scotia has what they need to be online.

Nominees can be a person, program, or business in Nova Scotia.

Program Partnership of the Year

This award celebrates innovative programs and partnerships that are finding new and better ways to ensure digital inclusion for everyone in Nova Scotia.

Nominees can be any program that is delivered in partnership with GEO Nova Scotia.

Award finalists will receive $2500 each in Referrals to GEO Nova Scotia for their program and the winning program will receive $5000 in Referrals.

Community Champion of the Year

This award honours a Nova Scotia non-profit organization that is leading the way to ensure their program participants have the access, skills, and confidence to use the internet safely and effectively.
Nominees can be any non-profit service organization in Nova Scotia.

Award finalists will receive $2500 each in Referrals to GEO Nova Scotia for their clients and the winning organization will receive $5000 in Referrals.

Digital Inclusion Hall of Fame

This award honours a Nova Scotian whose lasting leadership and commitment have made a significant impact on advancing digital inclusion across the province.

Nominees must be a resident of Nova Scotia.

GEO Referral Agent of the Year

This award honours an individual who serves as Referral Agents for the GEO Connects Program. These individuals stand out for the way they exemplify the goals and values of GEO Nova Scotia and serve their program participants with incredible care and compassion.

Nominees can be any individual who has made Referrals to GEO Nova Scotia in the past year.

Award finalists will receive $2500 each in Referrals to GEO Nova Scotia for their clients and the winning organization will receive $5000 in Referrals.

Government Champion of the Year

This award honours contributions from Nova Scotia’s public sector to promote and advance digital inclusion in Nova Scotia.

Nominees can be a person, program, agency or department within the municipal, provincial, or federal government that is working in Nova Scotia.
