We are thrilled to announce that Eilish Bonang-Smith has joined the GEO Nova Scotia team as our new Communications Lead!
Eilish is a seasoned communications and marketing professional, born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She brings a dynamic background in broadcast journalism and has spent the past several years sharpening her storytelling and strategic communication skills across multiple platforms — from live television to digital campaigns and podcast production.
Her career has taken her across Atlantic Canada, with time spent living and working in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and New Brunswick.
As a trusted voice in Atlantic Canadian news, Eilish served as an anchor, senior digital broadcast journalist, and producer with Global News and CTV. She’s widely recognized for her ability to connect with audiences, tell impactful community stories, and manage high-pressure, live broadcast environments with ease.
We are excited to have Eilish’s passion, expertise in storytelling, and deep local knowledge on board as we continue our mission to bridge the digital divide in Nova Scotia.
We’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ashley MacInnis for her outstanding work in this role previously, and for passing the torch with such care and thoughtfulness. She will forever be part of the GEO Family!
