Attention youth-serving partners!
We are proud to announce a new partnership with Unity Charity to help deliver their newest program, The Source, virtual Hip Hop programming facilitated by African Nova Scotian Hip Hop artists and serving African Nova Scotian youth (ages 14 – 19) living in rural communities.
Working at the very frontier of digital inclusion and accessibility, Unity has secured multi-year funding to provide fully subsidized internet access and devices to the households of participating youth in Nova Scotia, and across four provinces where the program will eventually scale.
This project will actively engage youth participants in programs that support the development of protective factors, social skills, and a sense of belonging. It will also improve online access and connectivity for ANS Youth and their households!
These programs will include:
- weekly virtual Hip Hop sessions
- a free digital device (for keeps!)
- one year of fully subsidized internet for their household.
Check out their one-pager for details and registration, and please help spread the word!
